Winter Park Rock 'N Ride

You won't want to miss this exciting weekend of great entertainment, which includes a motorcycle contest, show rodeo and expo and FREE live music from the following class-act entertainers:

Saturday, July 15th
, a collaboration of celebrated musicians that plays from the rich songbook of its legendary forefathers Jefferson Airplane and the original incarnation of Jefferson Starship, prevails as one of the most critically acclaimed touring acts today. Steeped in the fantastic realms of science fiction and the contemporary American shadowland, Jefferson Starship features a stellar cast of old and new players, including songwriter/guitarist/vocalist Paul Kantner, vocalist Marty Balin, both of whom founded Jefferson Airplane and were crucial in developing the renowned "San Francisco Sound" that changed the course of pop music forever.

Sunday, July 16th
One of the most influential Southern Rock Bands of all time has reunited!
Blackfoot's bold and long history is the thing that legends are made of. Touring with bands such as The Who, Deep Purple, AC/DC, ZZ Top and giving America their first taste of bands like Def Leppard, Scorpions, Iron Maiden and others who opened the show for Blackfoot's headline tours.  Blackfoot has left their mark in Southern Rock History and their fingerprint on countless bands that followed. Now we all have a chance to hear the real thing.

The quartet of Nakota Sioux Indian family members transcends its early influences and brings its hard-rocking, blues-based music to a new peak of power and expressiveness. Singer Mato Nanji's remarkable, raw guitar virtuosity and infectious, soulful vocals encapsulates the distinctive sound of Indigenous. Just imagine the ghost of Stevie Ray Vaughan sitting in with The White Stripes and go from there.    Indigenous have often cited the musical influence of such artists as Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, and Led Zeppelin. But Mato adds some additional names to the list: "I think people would be surprised that we listen to Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave?a lot of different influences that you may not hear right away in our songs."
